  • 1/4 cup of red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dressing:
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
  • Slice and Assemble the Hoagies:
  • Cut each Italian hoagie roll in half lengthwise, creating a top and bottom.
  • Layer the bottom halves of the rolls with Genoa salami, ham, and pepperoni slices.
  • Add provolone cheese over the meats.

  • Press or Grill the Hoagies (optional):
  • If desired, preheat a sandwich press or grill pan over medium heat.
  • Place the assembled hoagies in the press or on the grill pan, and press them gently.
  • Cook for a few minutes on each side until the cheese melts and the bread becomes toasted.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
  • Remove the hoagies from the press or grill pan (if using) and place the top halves of the rolls on each sandwich.
